This space leasing company has been around for only two years and is now planning to lease electric aircraft for various operators as well. SLI, a Libra Group subsidiary, chose Beta Technologies as its partner for this new endeavor, given Beta’s extended collaboration with Libra Group’s subsidiaries. More specifically, SLI has agreed to purchase 25 Alia CTOL aircraft from Beta.
The Alia CTOL (conventional takeoff and landing) is a variant of Beta’s flagship Alia eVTOL (vertical takeoff and landing). As a fixed-wing aircraft designed for airport-to-airport operations, the Alia CTOL makes it easier for operators to transition from standard aircraft to eVTOLs.
